On Thursday September 28th, Fountainhead RI (@FountainHeadRI) successfully lead the second in a series of panel sessions, this time focusing on financial literacy and how to best position yourself against the many financial hurdles that many of us encounter throughout our lives. The host and moderator for the evening was Bryant University’s own Denae Pisano, a senior Finance major and strong advocate of financial literacy among her generation. The panel, in front of  100 guests at Bryant University,  was led by three very well versed and respected leaders in the field:

Ernie Almonte (@ErnieAlmonte) – With more than 37 years of experience he is currently a partner at RSM and prior to that spent 16 years as the R.I. Auditor General where he was responsible for the State of Rhode Island financial, performance and fraud audits.

Mike Repak – He is a senior estate planner and Vice President at Janney Montgomery Scott LLC. He works diligently to identify appropriate solutions providing tax efficient accumulation of wealth, retirement income and intergenerational transfer of wealth. Mike is a frequent speaker at internal and external seminars to professional and/or lay audiences.

David Almonte (@Davidwalmonte) – A voice for the millennial generation, David is currently an Audit Manager at Grant Thornton LLP where he specializes in traditional audits and reviews, as well as employee benefit plan audits. On top of this David is a member of the National Financial Literacy Commission, frequently blogging and speaking on a variety of financial literacy topics across the country.

The panelists were compelling and left the audience with countless nuggets of wisdom that they can capitalize on in their everyday lives.
