What is FountainHead RI (FHRI)?

An idea based on giving back, promoting growth benefiting RI, and providing leadership opportunities to both the generations before, as well as the generations to follow. FountainHead RI has grown into a community of over 1,200 rising stars and current industry and business leaders from various sectors and industries from around the country. The idea was simple: get talented, motivated and diverse individuals to come together, so that creativity could prosper and positive change could be enacted. What came out of the initial conversations and meetings, was both inspiring and motivational, and set the foundation for what would become FountainHead RI.

Our logo was created by the talented Alana Almonte, of Anchored Soul (www.anchoredsoulri.com/). We are very fortunate and appreciative of Alana’s time, creativity and expertise in creating this custom design for our organization.

What is the origin of the FountainHead RI name?

There have been many individuals who have asked about the origin of the FountainHead RI name, and how it originated. The word “fountainhead”, means “the original source of something”. We, as an organization, want to bring Rhode Island back to its roots – we want Rhode Island to be a place where future generations want to visit, to not only take advantage of our incredible secondary educational facilities but, more importantly, stay for prosperous employment opportunities, to raise families, etc.

Does FountainHead RI host events throughout the year?

Our goal is to connect like-minded individuals with diverse backgrounds that share a similar passion, vision and ambition for moving Rhode Island forward. We accomplish this goal in one of two ways: the first in which is by hosting panel events on educational topics, such as financial literacy, sustainability, art and culture, diversity, equity and inclusion, among many other topics; and second, by spotlighting individuals and organizations in the community doing big things. Past spotlights have included: former New England Patriot, Jarvis Green, former NFL player, Marques Ogden, comedian, Anthony DeVito, and countless incredible individuals from right here in Rhode Island, including Emily Levin of Mighty Well and Carrie Rich of The Global Good Fund, just to name a few.

Are individuals and organizations able to donate to FountainHead RI?

FHRI is a 501(c)(3) organization and has received tax exempt status from the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) under such section. Individuals and organizations may donate to our organization by utilizing the “donate” button on the right side of our home screen.

Companies and organizations may also sponsor future FHRI events. The majority of FHRI events are heavily subsidized to participants due to our incredible community partners. Past, current, and future companies and organizations sponsor our events for many reasons: first, because they believe in our organization’s mission and vision of connecting like-minded individuals with diverse backgrounds to help move communities here in Rhode Island, and those across the country, forward in a positive and meaningful way; and second, because it gains them access to an incredibly divers and talented community.

The FHRI community is one of the most diverse networking groups, not only in Rhode Island, but we would argue in the country. Our events bring together not only CPAs, lawyers and bankers, but artists, founders/co-founders, the C-suite, executive directors of not for profits, heads of local trade groups, community leaders, etc., as well as Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X and YES, even Baby Boomers. Nowhere else can companies and organizations have access to such a diverse group of individuals in one place at the same time.

All dollars raised from events (including sponsorship dollars) are used to support FountainHead RI’s mission.

If interested in future sponsorship opportunities, please reach out to us directly at [email protected].
