Hola from Costa Rica everyone!  Here are some answers I’ve come up with based off of the questions from the FountainHead RI team.

Could you share with us what made you want to take the leap and become an entrepreneur?

From my roots selling lemonade on Christopher Drive in Bristol, Rhode Island I learned my very first lessons in entrepreneurship.  Always mowing lawns, washing cars, and shoveling snow, I returned to the Ocean State to begin my business education at Bryant University.

I knew from a young age I wanted to bring destiny into my own hands and control my future as an entrepreneur.  Besides, I don’t listen to authority all too well.

What is the backstory behind Under30Experiences?

A few years after graduating from Bryant University, I found myself burned out working on an internet startup.  Pushing 12-16 hour days behind a computer, living in New York City, I knew it was time for a change.

I took a trip to Iceland, beginning my search to make more impact on the world, to explore the affects of Climate Change on entrepreneurs’ businesses in Iceland.  It connected me with something deep inside myself, wanting to see the world and pay this life changing experience onto others.

Standing on a volcano in Iceland, watching the world famous “midnight sun” disappear behind the glaciers, the idea for Under30Experiences came to me.  Why not bring groups of young people to amazing parts of the world to allow them to reflect and reset their busy lives?

Daily/weekly routine, do you have one?

My daily routine and habits are extremely unconventional and based in a practice called “biohacking”.  I follow all the cutting edge science based in health and nutrition in order to perform at my peak.  A quick sample of just my morning routing consists of:

  • 1 hour of meditation using Holosync Meditation Technology
  • 2 cups of Bulletproof Coffee with “Brain Octane” MCT oil made with reverse osmosis filtered water
  • 15 minutes of sun exposure, fully nude, without sunscreen to increase Vitamin D and collagen levels
  • 1 cold shower to increase fat burning and immune system function with a practice called “cold thermogenesis”
  • 1 high fat breakfast including avocado, olive oil, and egg yolks to increase brain perforamnce
  • 1 shake including brain boosting super foods: turmeric, vanilla extract, raw cacao and coconut oil
  • Supplements including: vitamin C, chlorella, glutathione, and krill oil

Traveling and living all over the world is a trademark of yours, what has determined the course of your inspiring journey thus far?

I think the ability to adapt to different cultures, adverse situations, learn languages, and build relationships are all things that have allowed me to operate my business and personal life effectively across the world.

People ask me about the comforts of home and if I miss it.  Aside from being away from friends and family, the answer is always no.  The key has been developing habits that keep me feeling grounded and centered, and allow me feel to comfortable in whatever situation I find myself in.  Some people need to the comforts of their own language, own bed, and local pub, while all I need is to find my center within.

What is the vision for Under30Experiences? What big events are you aiming to initiate in the coming year? How can millennials

Most of my mentors are virtual, many of whom I’ve been reading their books and listening to their podcasts for years.  A sampling would be: Tony Robbins for peak performance, Dave Asprey for nutrition, Dr. Mercola for health, Thich Naht Hanh for meditation, Elon Musk for business, and Tim Ferriss for lifestyle.
