Community guidelines

FountainHead RI exists to build meaningful relationships between leaders. These guidelines apply wherever attendees find and contact each other through this website and app.

  1. Be who you say you are

Use your real name, and describe your role and organization accurately. Don’t pretend to be someone else or speak for an organization you don’t represent.

  2. Connect with a purpose

Send requests to people you met or would genuinely like to meet. A short note about why helps. Mass requests and cold outreach to everyone on a list aren’t welcome.

  3. No selling without an invitation

Don’t use attendee lists, requests, or messages for unsolicited sales pitches, recruiting blasts, or mailing-list sign-ups. If someone is interested, they’ll ask.

  4. Treat people with respect

No harassment, discrimination, threats, or unwanted advances, online or in person. Disagree on ideas, not people.

  5. Respect privacy

What people share here is for this community. Don’t copy attendee details into other lists or share someone’s contact information without their permission.

  6. Take no for an answer

If someone declines, ignores, or removes a connection, let it be. Don’t try to reach them another way.

You’re in control

  • Attendee lists are opt-in. You only appear on an event’s list if you join it, and you can leave at any time.
  • Choose who can reach you. In your profile, decide who sees your details and whether people can send you requests.
  • Block anyone. Blocking hides you from each other and removes any connection. They aren’t told.
  • Report problems. Reports go to FountainHead RI staff, who can hide a profile or remove someone from the community. The person isn’t told who reported them.
